CJ classes available to non-CJ majors
The Department of Criminal
Justice has upper-division classes that are open to:
1) Social
Science majors with primary emphasis in Criminal Justice; and
2)
CJ majors who have not met criminal justice upper-division
requirements. To be admitted to criminal justice upper-division
status, the student must apply through the Department of
Criminal Justice (see
CJ Upper-division application);
3) Bachelor of General Studies
students.
Prerequisites MUST be met in
order to enroll in the classes below.
The Department of Criminal
Justice has no agreement with other programs allowing for a
waiver of prerequisite requirements.

"Upper-division standing" means you are
classified as a junior or senior. It is not the same as:
"Upper-division criminal justice standing" - this is a specific
status for Criminal Justice majors. Non-majors are not allowed to take Criminal
Justice classes requiring "upper-division criminal justice
standing". These classes are only open to Criminal
Justice majors who have applied for, and received,
upper-division criminal justice status.
